What goes into our products — and what doesn’t

Our ingredient philosophy

We believe in formulating with the minimum number of ingredients needed to achieve the desired effect — no fillers, no unnecessary additives, no ingredients that exist only to make the INCI list look impressive. Every ingredient earns its place in the formula by delivering a measurable benefit to the skin, hair or scalp.

Key ingredient categories

Cold-pressed plant oils: argan (nourishing, rich in vitamin E), jojoba (balancing, closest to skin’s natural sebum), hemp seed (anti-inflammatory, omega-rich), rosehip (regenerating, rich in vitamin A), avocado (deeply moisturising), castor (strengthening for hair and lashes), sweet almond (soothing, lightweight). Plant butters: shea (deeply nourishing, protective), cocoa (rich, occlusive, antioxidant), mango (light, absorbs quickly, soothing). Hydrosols and floral waters: rose (toning, anti-inflammatory), lavender (soothing, balancing), neroli (regenerating, for mature skin), witch hazel (astringent, for oily skin). Botanical extracts: aloe vera (hydrating, healing), green tea (antioxidant, protective), turmeric (brightening, anti-inflammatory), centella asiatica (wound healing, barrier repair), chamomile (calming, anti-redness). Natural active ingredients: hyaluronic acid (hydration at multiple skin depths), niacinamide / vitamin B3 (pore refining, brightening, barrier strengthening), vitamin C (antioxidant, brightening, collagen support), bakuchiol (plant-based retinol alternative — anti-ageing without irritation), glycolic acid (exfoliation, cell renewal).

What we never use

Parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben), SLS / SLES (sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate), silicones (dimethicone, cyclomethicone), mineral oils and petrolatum, synthetic fragrances (we use natural essential oils or fragrance-free formulations), synthetic colourants, microplastics, PEGs, formaldehyde releasers. Our free-from policy is not marketing — it is a formulation principle enforced at the R&D stage.

Certifications

COSMOS Natural / COSMOS Organic: certified by Ecocert Greenlife — guarantees that ingredients are of natural origin, processed according to green chemistry principles, and that the finished product meets strict environmental and social criteria. Available per product line (not all products require COSMOS — we advise based on your brand positioning and target market). Vegan: no animal-derived ingredients in any formulation (no beeswax, lanolin, carmine, collagen from animal sources). Cruelty-Free: no animal testing at any stage — ingredients, formulations or finished products. Dermatologically tested: every product tested on human volunteers under dermatological supervision before market release.
